June 21

I was not a huge fan of Thursdays before, but now, Thursdays and I are NOT friends! First of all, I am now tutoring on Thursday afternoons, which I know is self inflected and it would be worth it if I could spend the money like a rockstar, but I have to put it into the "Lake House" fund (whatever that is). Then on Thursdays is our "visit to Great Grandma" days. Long ago, it use to be just me, then me and Ellie, then just me (and a little belly), then Reagan and I, and now it is Reagan, Me and Molly! If Reagan is not doing something naughty, then Molly is! Today it was Molly eating blackberries and Reagan eating sand.  My Grandma must think that I am crazy, but it is always harder at someone elses house! Luckily today,we had a special guest! My sister Casey, all the way from Redwood City, CA.

Visiting Great Grandma

Casey is in town visiting for a wedding(again) and we are always happy to see her. She is always so busy when she is here, but she always makes it a point to come and visit her favorite (and only) niece. I really miss Casey when she is not here, however, I know that she is enjoying her youth (yeah, she is only 4 years younger then me) in CA. I am so happy that her fience, Joel can be with his family there and that Casey can explore the "grass is greener on the other side" (or not. I am learning that the climate there is not that great). I know that Casey and Joel are very happy, and even though they might want to come back here to have children, I still wonder if they would be truely content here? Would he miss his family too much? Would they be able to find good jobs? Where would they want to live?) I think I miss my sister most when I talk to my friends that have their sisters walking distance from them. They sometimes complain about their sisters (like sisters always do). but I think that it must be wonderful to have your best friend living so close.  Reagan, Tony, Molly and I are very lucky to have my brother, his sisters, stepbrother, Mom's and Dad's so close to us. This closeness really eases the pain of my "missing" sister. Time will have to tell, and whatever they decide, we always have Skype!
This is her "I'm not suppose to have a woodchip in my hand, but I don't care" face (yeah, she got it taken away!)

One piece of exciting news was the fact that Reagan is no longer in her little baby bath tub (tear). I finally got a plug for the bathtub and she enjoyed all of the extra room. I think that it will be time to buy some "Mr. Bubble" to make bathtime that much more exciting.
