July 9- Not an easy trip to the Park!

As I scrape the bottom of the ice cream bowl, I remember that I was suppose to go for a run today. I have been putting it off because of the hot weather, but tonight is  perfect for running. I especially need it since I found a new Pinterest recipe...Baked Chili Cheese Hot Dogs! They were amazing, but probably hit WAY over ANYONE'S calorie count for the day. Tomorrow, will be "going to the gym" day, so I will run then...Opps!
Molly's new favorite spot in the Kitchen (She is a smart Cookie)

This morning began at 4:30, when Molly woke up. I was feeling generous/experimental and woke up with her. She went outside and then I decided that I was going to try  letting her play in the living room while I slept there on the couch. This semi worked till I opened my eyes and saw Reagan's foam sandal all over the floor in front of her...Opps! I hid it before Tony could see. (Note to self: Remove any destructible items from the vicinity before doing THAT again.) At 5:30, I decided that I was done being nice and woke Tony up to feed her while I went back to sleep. Without skipping a beat, Reagan started rustling around around 6am and actually started crying around 6:30, so much for being generous tomorrow!

Tony worked today at 9am, and I think that he was REALLY looking forward to leaving for the day. On cue, Reagan went to bed two hours after waking up. Luckily, Molly also took a little nap, which meant that Mommy got some rest too, but only about a half hour. ( Since we have gotten Molly, I don't feel that I have had one normal, solid sleep...I am ALWAYS on alert, I think I need to get over that!)

Reagan in the swing

To be (very) adventurous, I planned a little trip to the park with Molly and Reagan... BY MYSELF! I began by making a little lunch for us, which included a Thermos and bowl for Molly's water. Just getting both of them into the car was a job!!! Finally, we were all strapped in and the 6 blocks away to the park.  I was hoping for a nice quiet park, but found it loaded with camp kids! Oh jeeze, I do not need to be bombarded with 20 kids around a puppy and trying to hold onto a baby!! We took a little walk and then enjoyed our lunch on a table FAR away from others. By that time, the camp kids had left, awww...too bad!. Molly was SOOOO good while we were there! A little girl walked up and asked me if she bit (obviously, she had no idea about puppies), so I explained that she liked to say "Hi" to people by "tasting" them with her teeth first (not trying to scare her but telling her that she does try to put her teeth on people we are working on it)! Of course, this did not scare the little girl cause she went right up to Molly and tried to pet her. Obviously, Molly lunged at her cause anyone that shows an interest in her get a nice lunge. The little girl was very patient though and by the end of it, Molly had three children under seven; petting, pulling and tugging at each of her body parts, including her back paws?. She didn't even bite them. I just kept yelling "kisses, kisses" at her and she did exactly that. Where was Reagan you are wondering? She sat there in complete awe while these children showed adoration to our puppy. I think she was thinking "Who cares about her, aren't I cute? Pay attention to me!"

After that "job" we came home and started on my Pinterest creation. My sister Casey is living in California and has been working on planning her wedding here next September. So she mentioned a place that they were looking and and I volunteered to go and take look at it. So, we took a little "Road Trip" to Elk Grove to look at this reception hall.  It was really nice and Tony and I both really like it, but I think that we liked it because "it's not our money"!
